African Head Charge's fifth album, 'Songs of Praise', celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Adrian Sherwood's eclectic production style, psychedelia, and unique sound are on full display. The album is a musical-ethnographic kaleidoscope of religious chants, hand percussion, African music elements, and dub rhythms. The band's name was inspired by Brian Eno's vision of a 'psychedelic Africa'.
